This is what the so called reagan free market capitalism, con, was to do, private investments to advance a societies needs and entrepreneurs idea's instead of government investments into growth needs and the advancing technologies, the trickle down growth, and aren't doing as those capitalist hoard their huge gains while blocking any and all government growth.

Keep in mind that if this Country, the U.S., had not been blocked from moving forward, by the special interests still doing so today, some forty years back, we would have not only had advanced the technologies now being produced and now will in the future but we might have moved into other forms of developing alternative clean, and not potentially dangerous, alternative sources. That should though happen rapidly as the innovations already in use have started doing right now and are bringing the costs of down.

The Sendai Microgrid Operational Experience in the Aftermath of the Tohoku Earthquake: A Case Study
13 January, 2013 - This case study describes the Sendai Microgrid, located on the campus of Tohoku Fukushi University in Sendai City in the Tohoku district in Japan, and focusses on its operation in the aftermath of the Tohoku Earthquake.

The Sendai Microgrid was initially designed in 2004 as a test bed for a demonstration project of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), entitled “Experimental Study of Multi Power Quality Supply System (MPQSS).” The demonstration project was conducted by NTT Facilities, Inc. (NTT-F). The microgrid supplied power to facilities at the Tohoku Fukushi University. SIDS-focused Green Economy: An Analysis of Challenges and Opportunities
The report "SIDS-focused Green Economy: An Analysis of Challenges and Opportunities" was launched at COP7 of the Nairobi Convention for the Protection, Management and Development of the Marine and Coastal Environment of the Eastern African Region, which took place in Maputo, Mozambique, from 10 to 14 December 2012.

The Contracting Parties of the Nairobi Convention -among which there are SIDS, i.e., Comoros, Mauritius, Seychelles- , the Intergovernmental organisations and stakeholders present at the launch welcomed the report with enthusiasm. read more>>>

Japan planning world's largest offshore wind farm near Fukushima

18 January 2013 - The initiative comes part of a plan to reconstruct the area stricken by the disaster in March 2011.

By 2020, the government said, a total of 143 wind turbines on platforms 16 kilometres off the coast of Fukushima. The wind farm will generate 1 GW of power once completed, officials said. read more>>>
